Non-award Study
Most undergraduate courses offered by the university are available to be undertaken as non-award study. Non-award students undertake the same studies and assessment as award students, i.e. students who are undertaking the course through a university award, such as a bachelor degree. Applications for entry to non-award study are assessed by the relevant faculty or school. Non-award study involves the payment of up-front fees. Audit Study
In addition to non-award study, most faculties in the university offer a selection of their courses to students who wish to attend lectures but not undertake formal assessment or examination. Such study is generally referred to as audit study. Fees may apply. Further details on audit study are available through the Faculty that administers the program/course you wish to study.
Personal and Professional Development
Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) offers a diverse range of courses that are available to staff, current and future students, and anyone who wishes to benefit from new knowledge or retraining. Most courses are non-accredited do not require formal qualifications for admission, and can be delivered on or off-campus. Courses include:
- year 12 holiday courses
- Special Entry and STAT preparation
- personal and professional skills development (including the Graduate Career Starter Program and Professional Certificate in Arbitration)
- language and culture
- learning and teaching the English language (including Certificate IV in TESOL).
