Your Guide to University
The University of Adelaide offers a variety of entry paths for people wishing to pursue Undergraduate
studies. Most likely you will fit into more than just one of the categories listed below.

Students who are studying an Australian Secondary School qualification
such as the SACE (or interstate equivalent Certificate of Education) or International Baccalaureate (IB).

International students are those who are not Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, or permanent Australian residents.
|
|
Indigenous students are students who identify as being Aboriginal Australians or Torres Strait Islanders.
|
|
Applicants who have completed a relevant TAFE award can be considered for University selection on
the basis of their completed TAFE studies, in addition to other qualifications where relevant.

There are many reasons people decide not to go to university straight after high school. If you’re
over 21 and don’t have a Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER), or didn’t achieve a high enough TER
at secondary school to enter your program of choice, you’ll need to complete the Special Tertiary
Admissions Test (STAT).
