Preferences
If you've decided on a career path that takes you to university, take a look at our list of careers matched to programs for some guidance on what to include in your SATAC preferences. For details on cut-off scores and HESS requirements refer to the Study Selector or contact the Student Centre with any questions you might have.

Fees and costs
There are several financial options to assist with your cost of living as a student, including Commonwealth assistance and scholarships. The friendly Student Centre staff can help you with questions about HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP, or speak to an Education & Welfare Officer if you need assistance with Centrelink payments or other student loans.

Support
As a university student you’ll be expected to be a lot more independent and for some people this can be difficult to adjust to after high school. The University offers a range of excellent support services to help you including academic and personal counselling, study skills workshops, disability access and support, a medical centre, accommodation office, and a careers service.

Campus Life
Remember, it’s not all about study though! There are lots of campus activities and events such as O'Week, plus sports and recreation clubs to join – so make the most of your opportunities to take a break from study.
