Careers Service

The goal of the Careers Service is to assist students in their transition from university to graduate employment. Among the many services provided are guidance for students on making appropriate career choices, the provision of skills workshops in areas such as resume writing, job interview skills and career planning, and a regular calendar of events such as career fairs which benefit both students and potential employers of University of Adelaide graduates. The Careers Service also includes the Careers Resource Centre, which provides valuable resources for students, such as the annual Careers Guide and other publications.

The Careers Service website provides access to career planning and exploration sites, employer and job search links, guides to writing job applications, preparing for interviews, links to companies and government agencies, job vacancy listings, places where you can place your CV online, postgraduate course information, professional associations and volunteer work.

All graduates are encouraged to participate in the Graduate Destination Survey (GDS). The Graduate Careers Council of Australia (GCCA) in association with all Australian Universities manages the GDS. The annual GDS provides valuable feedback on what our graduates are doing and how they found their program of study. Your information will, in turn, help in the planning of courses for future students. All graduates will be contacted about the GDS questionnaire. All survey information received will be treated confidentially.
