Dare to ask

If we're feeling unconfident in a situation, most of us will try to be as invisible as possible or wait for someone to ask us if we're going OK.

At university this just won’t happen.

It’s up to you to work out what you need in any situation and to take the initiative in making that happen.

If you feel that you are not good at a course, that you don't want to show how little you understand of material delivered or you just don't like hassling people, you'll need to be brave and act a little out of character to get the assistance you need.

So take the first step and talk to someone at your Faculty or School or drop into the Student Centre.
