UniStep
University Student Transition Experience Program

Once the buzz of O'Week has settled, UniStep will help you navigate the first six weeks of University. O'Week can be information overload, so UniStep gives you a chance to find out information as you need it.

Each of the six weeks in the UniStep program has a theme with related activities to help you step towards success and learn more about the Uni. And you don't need to feel like you're 'signing up' for anything – you can choose the topics you feel will best help you.

Step Inside: Get to Know Your Faculty

Week 1, Monday March 3 – Friday March 7, 2008

Whilst, O'Week is 'officially' the first week of uni, your orientation continues with Week 1 of UniStep. This week focuses on familiarising yourself with your Faculty and School. Information will be available and easily accessible regarding the physical space and the people who are there to help you.

Step Up Your Skills

This is a good time to check out what is on offer to help you make a great start to your studies. Learn about the nuts and bolts of balancing your studies and getting the most out of your available time at one of our lunchtime seminars or workshops.

Get One Step Ahead

Week 3, Monday March 17 – Thursday March 20

Don't have all the answers yet? It's okay – you're not alone! Don't despair, this is the week you can get answers to all of those questions you wanted to ask. Remember there is no such thing as a stupid question! Selected staff and student mentors will be wearing bright yellow 'Ask Me' badges so that you know who to go to for help. The lunchtime workshops also continue in Week 3.
