Applying for Exchange
Students must complete two applications: 1) for the Global Learning office 2) for the host university. Students cannot apply to a host university until they have been accepted into the Global Learning exchange program.
Am I eligible?
- Check the selection criteria
Where should I go?
- Take a look at our partner institutions and a list of what you should consider.
- Attend an information session or contact the Global Learning office online to discuss your options further.
- Choose three universities you would like to study in order of preference
I want to apply!
- Complete the Global Learning application form online.
Am I accepted?
- Global Learning will notify you of the outcome of your application to the exchange program after application deadlines have closed. If accepted, you will be sent an offer letter via email.
I’m accepted, what now?
- Return the acceptance form attached to the offer letter. You will then be sent application forms for your host university.
- Look at courses available at the host university, check the credit transfer information and complete your study plan approval to obtain credit for courses you wish to study.
I’m accepted, am I guaranteed a place at my chosen University?
- No, the final decision is made by the host university, and they will send you a formal notification of acceptance either directly or through Global Learning.
I’m accepted by my host university!
- Information about visas (if applicable) housing, health insurance and arrival assistance is usually included in a student's acceptance package from the host university. Now is the time to apply for your visas, accommodation, book plane tickets and finalise your insurance.
- Look at the pre-departure information on the website, read the pre-departure guide and attend a pre-departure session.
