Adelaide Approved gives you more certainty when applying to study with us.

Adelaide Approved provides a fixed entry score set in advance, which gives you a clearer picture of the range of options you have*. You no longer need to worry about annually changing cut-off scores that reflect supply and demand as the Adelaide Approved Score (AAS) is simple and straightforward: just meet degree pre-requisites, achieve the required ATAR (including all bonus points) and you’re in! A major benefit of an Adelaide Approved Score is that you know if you’re in as soon as you get your exam results!

However, it is also very important to remember that there are certain application requirements and admissions rules for the Adelaide Approved Score. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet all application and admission requirements detailed in the SATAC University Guide and SATAC Tertiary Entrance Booklet (TEB). Speak to your school careers counsellor or visit the SATAC website.

Please note: Adelaide Approved is not a change in the admissions processes or a relaxation of our academic standards - entry to all degrees remains merit-based. Our aim with Adelaide Approved is simply to make it easier for you as applicants to get an idea of which degrees are likely to be available to you as soon as you get your results.

Degrees Included

We’re working towards getting Adelaide Approved Scores for all degrees where possible - although for some with additional entry requirements (such as Music and Medicine), it won’t be possible.

Bachelor of Architectural Design

Adelaide Approved Score: 80

This entry scheme now includes the Bachelor of Architectural Design (for students considering future careers in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and landscape architecture) with a fixed entry ATAR score of 80.  If you achieve an ATAR of 80 you are automatically offered a place in the degree. If you achieve a score below 80, you will still be considered for a place through the usual SATAC offer process.

Engineering Degrees

Adelaide Approved Score: 80

Meet the pre-requisites, achieve an 80 ATAR or above (including all Bonus Points if eligible) and you’re in. We’ll also provide a great alternative if your first choice is oversubscribed.

Humanities & Social Sciences Degrees

Adelaide Approved Score: 70

No pre-requisites to meet; get a 70 ATAR or above (including all Bonus Points if eligible) and you’re in. And if you think you’ll score under 70, don’t stress! There are still many opportunities to study Humanities & Social Sciences with us.

Sciences Degrees

Adelaide Approved Score: 75

Meet the pre-requisites, achieve a 75 ATAR or above (including all Bonus Points if eligible) and you’re in. And if you think you’ll score under 75, don’t worry as there are still opportunities to study Sciences with us.

There are a very limited number of exceptions:

• Bachelor of Science (Advanced)
• Bachelor of Science (Animal Science)
• Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience)
• Bachelor of Science (High Performance Computational Physics) (Honours).
