Research in the School of Animal & Veterinary Sciences

The School of Animal & Veterinary Sciences houses a range of vibrant research activities based at the Roseworthy Campus of the University of Adelaide.

The School provides an outstanding environment for research with high quality infrastructure and access to a variety of industry and research facilities. In addition, staff members are internationally recognised for their contributions to scientific and veterinary research. The School is involved in various Cooperative Research Centres, including those for beef genetic technologies, future farm industries, an internationally competitive pork industry and poultry. The School also has well-established links with many partner organisations which adds considerably to the research opportunities available. These include the co-located South Australian Research & Development Institute (SARDI), the Department of Primary Industries & Resources South Australia (PIRSA), the Pig & Poultry Production Institute and Martindale Holdings (Roseworthy Farm Management).

In addition, the School is building partnerships with ZoosSA, Equine at Morphetville, and TAFE SA.
