Student Advisory Service
The Advisory Service is a free confidential service which provides support and advice to undergraduate students who are experiencing difficulties either with their studies or issues affecting their studies.
Some of the ways we can help include (but are not limited to):
- Grants up to $2000 for students experiencing financial hardship
- Practical assistance with issues affecting your studies
- Help when applying for extensions or replacement exams
- Support with the transition to uni
- Advice on time management and study techniques
- Helping you develop a personalised study plans
For some students issues may be far more personal or you may be unsure where to go for assistance. Perhaps you just need to talk to someone about your student experience so far. You can drop in to our office anytime between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday (including semester breaks), or you can make an appointment with one of our experienced TAS Student Advisors.

Our service is available to domestic undergraduate students. Services for international students are available through the International Student Centre.
Study Resources
During the year we run workshops and provide one-on-one consultations to assist students to develop effective time management and study skills. Listed below is a selection of resources that you may find useful:
- Semester One Planner - provides an overview of the semester and critical dates.
- Semester One Assessment Planner - designed to help you plan what assessments are due throughout the semester.
- Weekly Planner portrait or landscape - The weekly planner can be used to track all study and non-study related activities. Use the Weekly Planner Guidelines or the example to help you develop a study plan that suits you
- Daily Planner - An opportunity to break your weekly planner down into a daily to do list

Adelaide Higher Education Participation (AHEP) Grants
TAS Student Advisors can assist students to apply for the AHEP Grants which are available for students facing significant financial hardship.
Students must complete an application form and provide relevant supporting documentation.
