TAS supports academic and professional staff, or experienced Peer Mentors, in Faculties and Schools to run their own Peer Networking Programs. The staff person or student with the overall responsibility for the Peer Networking Program is called the Peer Networking Program Coordinator. If selected to be a Peer Mentor in a Faculty or School Peer Networking Program you will work directly with the relevant Peer Networking Program Coordinator.
Additionally, TAS directly provides a University-wide Peer Networking Program for regional and interstate students called SmoothStart. Peer Mentors in that program work directly with TAS staff.
TAS hosts an annual Student Leader and Peer Mentor Appreciation Ceremony to celebrate the work of our volunteer Peer Mentors and other Student Leaders. Click here to view photos from the most recent ceremony. [UA login required]
The TAS Student Leadership Certificate Program (SLCP) Coordinator oversees the generic training for all Peer Mentors and other volunteer Student Leaders.
