Selection is a five part process:
STEP 1: Apply to be a Mentor via the Expression of Interest form
STEP 2: Registrations of Interest are checked against Selection Criteria
STEP 3: Selected students are invited to attend the compulsory core training sessions
STEP 4: Peer Networking Program Coordinators will inform students who have been selected as Peer Mentors to their respective programs, provisional upon completion of the training. Some students may be offered alternative options.
STEP 5: Students confirm whether they accept the opportunity
Students who do not complete the pre-requisite core training cannot be Peer Mentors nor participate in other opportunities as Student Leaders.
The pre-requisite training is a two day generic leadership training provided by TAS. The main training is held in the September mid-semester break each year.
In addition to the core training, selected Mentors are required to attend any subsequent training, briefings or planning sessions organised by their Peer Networking Program Coordinator.
