About the Technology Project Management Framework (PMF)

The Technology Project Management Framework includes:

The project management methodology used within the framework is based on PRINCE2TM.

PRINCE2TM is recognised internationally as best practice and is flexible and adaptable to the needs of the University.

Flexibility & Scalability

Not all projects require high and complex levels of governance, documentation and reporting and the aim of the framework is to provide a set of guidelines that are right for the project.

The PMO is able to provide a consultancy service where advice, guidance and support are needed to start projects or assistance with any aspect of the methodology.

The PMO will also maintain and manage a pool of resources for projects.  This will include both Business Analysts and Project Managers.

Requesting a Technology Project

The majority of technology related projects are identified and prioritised as part of the development of the Infrastructure Investment Plan. However project proposals can arise at any time from a range of sources. These potential projects should follow the New Project Proposal Process. Contact the PMO for assistance with the process.
