An important part of the The Elder School of Music programme is the access students get to the professional standard performing arts venues the Scott Theatre and Union Hall. The venues are used for performances, operas, recitals, music forums, workshops, and rehearsal space.

To maintain these venues to a high standard they are offered for public hire on Monday to Friday after lectures, weekends and during semester breaks. The venues are suitable for amateur groups, professional theatre & dance, community groups, music concerts, conferences, festivals and films.
