You must not allow your card to be used by another person for any of the functions of the card. You should carry your University of Adelaide ID Card at all times whilst on University campuses. You must produce your card immediately if asked for identification on a University campus by an authorised person (eg security staff).

Travel Concessions
The University of Adelaide ID Card entitles
full-time students to travel at concession fares on all Adelaide Metro bus,
train and tram services funded by the Government of South Australia. This card
must be produced immediately upon request by an authorised person when travelling
on Adelaide Metro services or when in a declared area. This card is not valid
if mutilated and any improper use of this card may result in prosecution of
the offender.
Replacement Cards
Your University of Adelaide ID Card has an expected functional life of three
years. You are required to attend Card Services to update your card annually
(students only). If you require a replacement card, for any reason except name
changes, any time before three years has elapsed, you will be required to pay
a replacement fee of $20.
If your card appears to be faulty you should bring your card to Card Services, at North Terrace Campus, or contact Card Services by phone or email. Card Services will arrange to test your card and if it is found to be faulty will replace your card. If your card was faulty when you first received it, a new card will be issued at no cost to you. If faulty due to your own negligence, you will be required to pay the replacement fee. The University is not liable to you for any loss suffered by you if you continue to use your card after the expiry of the expected functional life.
Cancellation of Services
The University can cancel any of
the services provided by the University of Adelaide ID Card available to you,
in connection with your card in accordance with University policies and procedures.
For example, new students who are not enrolled, students who graduate and existing
students who defer or don't re-enrol or staff whose appointments have ceased
may have their cards 'turned off' for access to University services such as
library borrowing and building access.
Dos and Don'ts of the University Card
Your University of
Adelaide ID Card should not be exposed to excessive heat, moisture and magnetic
sources or kept near other magnetic strip cards. You should not allow your
card to move freely in your bag, case or pocket as the magnetic strip allowing
building access can be damaged. We advise you to keep you card in a plastic
holder or sleave to prevent damage, as it will cost you a replacement fee if
your card is damaged.
