Curriculum Plan Introduction

The School of Veterinary Science admitted its first students in 2008. An interim curriculum has been developed which has obtained provisional approval from the University and from the accrediting body, the Veterinary Schools Accreditation Advisory Committee (VSAAC). However, the curriculum is expected to change significantly with the appointment of the Head of School, Professor Gail Anderson, and other foundation academic staff. The aim is for Adelaide to have an innovative curriculum representing international best practice in veterinary education. A Curriculum Committee has been established to oversee curriculum development and much has already been achieved. The outcomes of the work being undertaken will be posted on this website on a regular basis.
