Curriculum Plan Introduction
The School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences admitted its first students in 2008. An interim curriculum has been developed which has obtained provisional approval from the University and from the accrediting body, the Veterinary Schools Accreditation Advisory Committee (VSAAC).
The curriculum continues to be refined with consultation of the Head of School, Professor Gail Anderson, and other key academic staff. The aim is for Adelaide to have an innovative curriculum representing international best practice in veterinary education. A Curriculum Committee has been established to oversee curriculum development and much has already been achieved.
