The John Ridley Memorial Scholarship
This Scholarship was established by the Public Trustee for the John Ridley memorial Trust which was established in 1913 to perpetuate the memory of John Ridley who invented "The Stripper" - the world's first mechanical grain harvester.
The Scholarship is awarded to a student undertaking an Honours degree in the area of Agriculture or Animal Science based at the Roseworthy Campus. The student is to have completed either the Bachelor of Agriculture or Bachelor of Science (Animal Science).
- The Scholarship shall be known as ‘The John Ridley Memorial Scholarship' which shall be available for award each year.
- The Scholarship will be to the value of $8000.
- The Scholarship shall be awarded to the best student enrolled in either the Bachelor of Agriculture or Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) programs that progress on to Honours. The selection is based on cumulative GPA for the undergraduate degree.
- These rules may be varied from time to time by the Faculty but the title and purpose of the award shall not be changed.
