The
University of Adelaide has a 135-year history upon which very strong brand attributes
have been built. Brand awareness is extremely high in the local market. The University
is relatively well known internationally. Every school, faculty, department and
centre associated with the University shares in the benefit of that brand.
This standards guide covers most foreseeable situations
that may arise in print, promotional materials, vehicles, signage, uniforms,
electronic forms etc. It is intended to help employees and contractors of
the University prepare materials easily and more cost effectively while eliminating
the guesswork with regard to the application of the corporate brand.

The University 'stationery
templates' are designed for staff to create letters, faxes, memos. There
are four core templates - mono letterhead, pre-printed colour letterhead,
facsimile sheet and memorandum.
PowerPoint templates have been developed incorporating
logos and styles to give University presentations a similar look and feel.

The Marketing & Strategic Communications Branch has
established a publication style for the major corporate publications, especially
the varied publications produced for the Prospective Students Office and
the International Office.
Marketing & Strategic Communications Branch has developed
templates for print advertising. Such advertisements are prepared by Starcom
in coordination with M&SC Branch.
