The Office for Community Engagement

Various volunteer roles are offered through our office in different capacities, please see below for details.

WRED l Western Region Enterprise Day

WRED is held in September each year for up to 200 primary and secondary students from the Council districts of Port Adelaide Enfield, Charles Sturt and West Torrens. WRED provides an opportunity for students to learn about the basics of creating and running a business. Students are given a real insight into business with the help of young inspiring entrepreneurs who share their personal success stories. One of the reasons for the day’s success is due to the volunteers who assist students as facilitators during the business workshops. WRED is a rewarding day for volunteers who wish to gain experience in working with primary and secondary students. Please visit our website for further information or contact Kerry James on 8303 3354.

NEED l Northern Enterprise Education Day

NEED is held in July each year at Roseworthy Campus and like the WRED, the day provides an opportunity for students to learn about the basics of creating and running a business. Volunteering roles are available in the area of Facilitators and Presenters. For further information please visit our website or contact Kerry James on the details above.
