Don Dunstan Foundation
Don Dunstan had a vision for a fairer Australia. We aim to help make that vision a reality.
The Foundation's work is guided by the following values:
- Just distribution of global wealth
- Democratic and inclusive forms of governance
- Respect for fundamental human rights
- Respect for indigenous people and protection of their rights
- Celebration of cultural and ethnic diversity
- Freedom of individuals to control their lives
The Don Dunstan Foundation aims to put the debate about social and economic inequality back into the limelight. It will support vital research into the social problems confronting Australia today. It will promote the outcomes of this research and offer practical solutions.
We have a friendly and enthusiastic band of volunteers who help out regularly or occasionally in the Adelaide office, assisting us with a number of tasks such as fundraising, hosting at events, helping with occasional mailings and some clerical tasks. You may wish to join one of our chapters/friends groups, in either Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra.
