The Waite Precinct Volunteer ProgramThe Waite Precinct incorporates Urrbrae House and its gardens, the Waite Arboretum including TREENET and the Waite Conservation Reserve, all of which are situated on the Waite Campus of the University of Adelaide. There are also three separately incorporated bodies, the Friends of Urrbrae House, The Friends of the Waite Arboretum and the Friends of the Waite Conservation Reserve associated with the Waite. Our volunteers are engaged in a variety of activities associated with these areas. You may work on your own, as part of a team or as member of one of the Friend's committees. The day of the week is flexible and you can choose to work in one particular area, on one specific task or rotate between a variety of areas and tasks. Tasks include working in the gardens, arboretum or reserve, documenting historical collections, tour guiding and planning special events and fundraising activities. The work undertaken by Volunteers at the Waite is seen as vital to the development and maintenance of this important part of South Australia's heritage. Whether you can spare a few hours a week, a fortnight, a month or just on special occasions, your skills and assistance will be greatly appreciated by us at the University of Adelaide. Urrbrae
