School visits to the University

Wilto Yerlo welcomes schools to come and visit the University.

School students can:

• see what a University looks like
• get an idea of what Universities do
• meet some University students
• visit some of the departments and facilities eg
  • Psychology for a psychological test
  • Petroleum engineering to see a 3D teaching facility
  • Health, Medicine, Dentistry clinical skills
  • Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (CASM) recording studio
  • Foundation program visit
  • Tour of the University campus
  • Barr Smith Library visit
• see what services Wilto Yerlo provides for Indigenous students.

We recommend allowing 3-4 hours for a visit. We will need to know when you would like to visit and how many students from what year level will be coming.

Aim for Adelaide

The University also invites schools to visit the University on the 'Aim for Adelaide' dates of 26 June and 25 November of 2009. We encourage schools to visit on these special days as there will be a host of activities organised in conjunction with Wilto Yerlo.

Visits to schools by the University

Student Support Officers from Wilto Yerlo regularly visit schools in the metropolitan area as well as regional and rural South Australia, the Northern Territory and western NSW and Victoria.

This year we visited:
