SA Health CommissionSA Health Commission (SAHC)

The SAHC helps people make their concerns known to health service providers; assesses and clarifies problems in health services provision; conciliates formally or informally between consumers and service providers; assists in the resolution of complaints; and uses information obtained and lessons learned to recommend improvements to services. Health service providers include dentists, general medical practitioners, specialists, hospitals (public and private), physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers in a health setting, nursing homes, hostels or supported residential services, nurses and ambulances.
