Centre for Labour Research
The Centre is part of the Australian Workplace Innovation and Social Research Centre (WISeR) and is a focal point for academic and applied research in the following areas:
- employment and unemployment
- education and training
- demographic change, ageing and workforce development
- social and economic development
- social and economic inequality
- public policy and the role of government
- gender and restructuring and
- sustainability.
The Centre provides strategic planning and consultative services to a wide range of industry, government, unions and community organisations.
The Centre specialises in:
- public policy and labour market analysis
- industry and workplace surveys
- social surveys
- preparation of social, economic, industrial and employment strategies
- government budget analysis and
- social and economic impact assessments.
