In 2024, we welcome alumni from the graduating classes of 1973 and 1974 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their graduations.
In October 2024, the classes of 1973 and 1974 will be welcomed back to campus, as together we celebrate the 50th anniversary of their graduations in a special Golden Jubilee event. This reunion coincides with the University's 150th celebration, giving us even more reason to commemorate.
The Golden Jubilee Reunion is a rare opportunity to reconnect with old friends and celebrate 50 years as a graduate of one of Australia’s finest universities.
Further information and a save the date will follow in the coming months, with a formal invitation and registrations opening mid next year. Ensure you update your details so you can receive an invitation to this special event.

1973 and 1974 class gift
First established by the Class of 1961, the Golden Jubilee class gift supports Augustus Short scholarships, which help high achieving students from rural or remote areas who face financial disadvantage. There is still time to join your classmates and make a gift.

2022 Golden Jubilee celebration
On Wednesday 26 October 2022, the Class of 1972 were welcomed into the folds of the University as together we celebrated the 50th anniversary of their graduation in a special Golden Jubilee event. Just like the first time, the class of 1972 donned academic dress and celebrated their accomplishments with family and friends. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a light lunch and attended campus tours.

2021 Golden Jubilee celebration
On Thursday 21 October 2021, both the classes of 1970 and 1971 were welcomed back to the University to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their graduation in a special Golden Jubilee reunion.
Former graduates were reunited at Bonython Hall as friends reminisced on years gone by and shared cherished memories. For the Diploma graduates, this was their first time celebrating their graduation. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a light lunch and campus tours.

2019 Golden Jubilee celebrations
On Thursday 17 October 2019, the Class of 1969 were once again welcomed into the folds of the University as they celebrated the 50th anniversary of their graduation in a special Golden Jubilee event.
Arts, Agricultural Science, Engineering, Economics, Law, Medicine, Music, Physiotherapy, Science, Pharmacy and Education graduates were re-united as friends reminisced on years gone by and shared cherished memories. For the Diploma graduates, this was their first time celebrating their graduation.
