Bonakele Sarah Ndzinisa is a Trade Information Officer working with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade in the Kingdom of Eswatini, Southern Africa. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Trade and Development from the University of Adelaide in 2020. Furthermore, Bonakele is in possession of a BA Honours Degree in Integrated Organizational Communication and a BA in Communication Science from the University of South Africa, South Africa. She has remained with the University through constantly receiving the university’s newsletters, trade related commentary, and now sits on the Alumni Council representing the Arts, Business, Law and Economics, 2023 – 2026.

Bonakele worked as the National Consultant and Institutional Sustainability Expert for the International Trade Centre (ITC) for a project “Jobs and Growth” which is aimed at improving livelihoods especially for the Micro, Small and Media Enterprises (MSMEs) and women led businesses. This project has supported over 700 women and about 20 of them are now accessing the regional market.

She is a focal point for the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) on communication issues to oversee the implementation of the COMESA Communication Strategy at national level. She has also contributed to the development of the current COMESA Communication Strategy chairing some of the meetings. She is also a focal point for the non-tariff barriers (NTBs) at the tripartite level of COMESA, Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the East Africa Community (EAC). Bonakele is also volunteering in other organizations such as savings and credit cooperatives (SACCOs), women in business and she is a columnist with one of the national newspapers where she provides an analytical piece on trade.
