A web site for people working with animals in science. This site provides web links to other animal welfare, government, education and research organisations.

Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI)
The MGI Website provides integrated access to various sources for information on the genetics and biology of the laboratory mouse. Release 1.0 of the MGI resource comprises the Mouse Genome Database (MGD), the Gene Expression Database (GXD), the Encyclopedia of the Mouse Genome (Encyclopedia), and related software and data. The goals of the MGD and GXD projects are to capture, store and manage high quality data suitable for analysis and integration with other biological data, provide efficient access to these data through an easy-to-use, flexible user interface.

Australian and New Zealand Laboratory Animal Association (ANZLAA)
ANZLAA is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the welfare of animals used in research and teaching. In addition to improving animal welfare through direct means, ANZLAA seeks to foster informed discussion and continuing professional development for those working with animals used in research and teaching. It is hoped that ANZLAA, through the pursuit of its goals, will help ensure that the use of animals in research or teaching is conducted in a manner that is ethical, humane and compassionate.

Laboratory Animals Limited (LAL)
LAL is a registered charity whose aims are to promote education and training in laboratory animal science. We fund a range of initiatives in the field of laboratory animal science including bursaries to attend app ropriate training courses, speakers at scientific meetings, financial assistance for workshops the proceedings of FELASA conferences and of course our journal - Laboratory Animals.

Lab Animal is a monthly research journal publishing peer-reviewed articles on methods and technology for improved disease models and enhanced welfare. The journal also publishes timely and authoritative columns and perspectives on all aspects of lab animal science and animal models of disease.
