Quality Assurance

Laboratory Animal Services will produce and supply consistently high quality viral free laboratory rodents.

To ensure our high standard of service, sentinels are maintained in the facility and monitored for health status. In addition, rodents are monitored for genetic authenticity by the Evolutionary Biology Unit - Genetic Monitoring Services. Laboratory Animal Services undertakes comprehensive quality assurance health checks on all its rodent populations. Both the Helen Mayo Animal Facility, G11-Biomedical Research Facility, AHMS Biomedical Research Facility and the SPF production facility are tested for most of the organisms listed below.

Copies of the complete test result are available by contacting our Office Manager. Testing is conducted on a regular monthly schedule throughout the year.
