2019 Practical Training in Laboratory Rat & Mouse Techniques (non-compulsory)

These practicals are intended as an introduction to commonly used laboratory animal procedures and techniques for new students and less experienced staff. They will be conducted in the University of Adelaide Helen Mayo (Medical School) Building, Frome Road, by the Animal Welfare Officer and Laboratory Animal Services.

Registrations for the listed sessions can be made via the on-line course booking system (links in table below). University Staff and Students can access this using their University ID number and password.  You will receive an automated email from the course booking system confirming your registration.

Changing your registration: Go back to the on-line course booking system to change your registration. Please de-register from any sessions you will not attend, then register in another session.

 

Mouse Sessions

If you are not a University of Adelaide Staff or Student member, and are interested in further information about registering for these training sessions, please email your query to the Animal Welfare Officer, Dr Gail Anderson.

Cost: No charge. There is no limit to the number of Single/Small Group sessions you may attend. However, places in Large Group Workshops are generally limited to one mouse session and one rat session per person. As places are limited, priority will be given to registrations from staff and students of the University of Adelaide, SA Pathology, UniSA, Flinders University and SAHMRI.

(N.B. Further Ad Hoc practical training sessions in animal handling and basic procedures are available throughout 2018 on email request to the Animal Welfare Officer and Laboratory Animal Services.)
