Adelaide The Festival City of Light

The conference will be held at the Napier building (map: K12) of the University of Adelaide on North Terrace, the heartbeat of Adelaide CBD. Here, all you will ever want or need in Adelaide will surround you. In front are the Rundle Mall, the Rundle cafe strip and Richmond Hotel; on the left are the botanic garden and wine centre, on the right are the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Museum and state library; behind is the river Torrens and the Adelaide zoo.

We have a fantastic line up of national and international keynote speakers. Some controversial topics will be addressed. This is a conference with a difference.

There are varieties of hotels to choose from ranging from five star hotels to student accommodations, all within walking distance to the conference venue.

How to get there
Adelaide has regular domestic flights to and from every major city in Australia. Adelaide international airport has flights to all global destinations, sometimes via Sydney or Melbourne, but it has direct flights to almost all Asian regions. Sydney and Melbourne are about an hour and half away by flight and about 8hours by driving. Adelaide is the only state in Australia with a boundary to all the other states.

One of the attractions of the conference is a travelling presentation day, which takes a tour of Adelaide hills and local wineries. We have our conference presentations of that day on the road with entertainment. Don't forget to bring your musical instruments because you will need them.
After the conference, for those who want to extend their break beyond the city, you can't go past South Australia for holiday destinations in Australia, from the wonderful Flinders Ranges to Kangaroo Island, and from Barossa wineries to Victor Harbour and many more. Also, one of the world's longest train journeys starts in Adelaide - the Ghan to Alice Springs and Darwin.
