About Us
The Clearinghouse on oral health promotion is a direct result of the Australian National Oral Health Plan 2004-2013.
Action area one of the Oral Health plan is focused towards promoting oral health across the population. This website serves as a central point for the collection and dissemination of Australian oral health policy, practice, research, resources and evidence under action area one.
- Goal
Our goal is to link people and organisations involved in oral health promotion to resources and expertise in Australia.
- Objectives
Our objectives are to:
- identify, organise and disseminate a range of quality current information, resources and materials on oral health promotion;
- provide a variety of methods of informing people of activities related to oral health promotion;
- make oral health promotion resources available to a broad range of health professionals, researchers, academics and teachers, students, community groups and interested individuals;
- provide material and online resources to organisations involved in oral health promotion;
- support communities of practice in health promotion;
- be responsive to the needs of users;
- build momentum for health promotion and disease prevention;
- enhance capacities for health promotion and disease prevention.
