Established in 1997 ASSCID aims to promote oral health for people with special needs by providing information and other functions to oral health professionals and carers including their publication Gerodontics and Special Needs - An International Perspective - 5th Walkabout Conference. Additionally to providing reference materials ASSCID is also lobby group for oral health services for people with special needs, and a fraternity of oral health professionals with interest in the field of special needs oral health care.
