This year's Australex is part of Canberra Langfest 2011, a series of events about language, languages and their relationship with the world, including running in the city of Canberra from 27 November to 9 December 2011. Other conferences included are those for ALS (Australian Linguistic Society) and ALAA-ALANZ (Applied Linguistics Associations of Australia and New Zealand).
