A student and early career researcher group has been formed for those with an interest in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology. This group is part of the national COMBINE network, which is the official student group from the Australian Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Society
Meetings are generally informal with a guest presenter followed by an open discussion time, and are usually held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4pm.
The mailing list for these events is managed nationally, so please sign-up using the official mailing list .
General chit-chat about workshops and get-togethers is also held using the Slack communication tool, so please contact Steve Pederson to be added to this invitation-only group. All are welcome to join.
Meeting every second Monday in the Darling Building, the Bioinformatics Support Group (BSG) regularly meets to discuss computational analysis of biological data (not just limited to analysis of next generation sequencing data). Topics for discussion will be based on methodology, manipulation of data, recent advances and current problems.
Meeting reminders are sent via email so please contact Terry Bertozzi to be added to the list.
