PROF 7923 - Domestic Study Tour ? Society and Culture

North Terrace Campus - Semester 2 - 2015

This course provides the opportunity to apply theory to real world practical situations and a means by which students practice discipline related thinking in an environment in which they are not familiar. Students will develop, through this course, specialised knowledge and skill in the subject area of their discipline, building a capability to research and apply to professional practice. The detailed program and itinerary for this course will vary depending on the calendar month and academic leader, but students should expect to visit regional areas within Australia, speak with community leaders, undertake group work on entrepreneurial ideation, and consider business opportunities, social impact and economic analysis. The course will be run intensively over 1-3 weeks.
