Engineer your career in a growing industry

When it comes to epic concerts and great records, sound engineers and producers are just as important as the artists. They are the unsung heroes that balance, blend and tame audio before it even reaches our ears.

What will you do?

Our Diploma in Music (Music Production) gives you a thorough grounding in both studio and live sound engineering. You’ll gain vital creative, collaborative, technical and business skills as you:

  • learn all there is to know about recording, mixing and post-production
  • consider best practice for session set-up and management
  • take courses in sound, acoustics, digital audio, and music
  • practise adapting to technological disruption
  • work with leading experts and active industry professionals.

If you want to study further you’ll also collect 24 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Music (Sonic Arts).

Where could it take you?

You could master the acoustics of local music venues or travel the world with international festival line ups. You might create innovative backing tracks with virtual instruments. Perhaps you’ll help artists experiment in the studio or perfect their albums for release.
