This cross-disciplinary degree is suitable for Immersive Media bachelor graduates wishing to advance their skills, or graduates in other fields seeking to change direction.
What will you do?
Completed over 12 months, the degree emphasises both the creative and technical elements required for success in the immersive media industry.
Working across South Australia’s highest ranked Arts faculty* you will gain:
- understanding of the global immersive media industry and its future markets and applications
- broad knowledge of immersive design theory and game-engine capabilities
- highly developed technical skills in generating core digital assets, 3D modelling, sound engineering and programming
- awareness of the physiological and ergonomic implications of immersive technology design and human-computer interfacing
- insight into the industry’s associated ethical considerations.

You’ll graduate well prepared to undertake creatively and technically stimulating roles in immersive media anywhere in the world, from health, education and entertainment sectors, to defence, science and mining industries.
Please note: due to the practical nature of the degree with specific hardware and software requirements for Immersive Media Technologies, students are required to attend this program in person from the beginning of semester.
As such this offer is made on the provision you will be able to be onshore in Adelaide and attending face-to-face classes at the university on the first day of semester. Should this change we will keep you updated.
