What will you do?

Our one-year Graduate Diploma in Global Food and Agricultural Business will help you develop the conceptual and practical skills necessary for management decision-making, marketing, finance, policy analysis and problem-solving in an ever-expanding and increasingly complex global food and agricultural marketplace. You will:

  • understand how to evaluate domestic and international markets
  • study trends and issues in the world food system
  • pursue electives according to your interests—from value-chain management to marketing, natural resource issues or agricultural policy analysis.

Whether you are interested in the public or private sector, the program opens up a wide number of possible career paths, including in government departments, research centres, international funding agencies, food retailers, financial agencies, agricultural consultancy services, and non-government organisations. The graduate diploma can also lead into our advanced Master of Global Food and Agricultural Business.

Global Food and Agricultural Business Scholarship
Study Global Food and Agricultural Business in 2022 with new Scholarships available to eligible students*. The Centre for Global Food and Resources is funding a Scholarship for Australian Full-fee paying (Australian citizen and permanent resident) students commencing the following programs in 2022 (inclusive of all intakes):

Degree Structure

The program involves three 3-unit foundation courses, three 3-unit core electives, and elective courses to the value of 6 units in total.

Successful students can apply to upgrade to the Master of Global Food and Agricultural Business with status for their studies in the Graduate Diploma.

Students may include other postgraduate level courses offered in trimester format, subject to the approval of the Program Adviser.

Assessment

Exams, written and oral assignments and investigative projects; includes both group and individual participation.
