Our Master of Technology, Innovation and Leadership is uniquely tech-commerce-focused, with practical activities integrating high-level business theory. You will:

Perhaps you’ll seed a dedicated deep-tech facility, offering workspaces and commercialisation services to young entrepreneurs.

Note that this program is taught in Trimesters but only has intakes in January and September.

Degree Structure

To qualify for the degree of Master of Technology Innovation and Leadership, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements:

  • 2-years program from neither a business or a technology related discipline, a combined total of not less than 48 units
  • 1.5 years program from a business related discipline, a combined total of not less than 36 units*
  • 1.5 years program from a technology related discipline, a combined total of not less than 36 units*
A Research Pathway is available for those students interested in the Higher Degree by Research.
  • 2-years program with Higher Degree of Research (HDR) pathway neither a business or a technology related discipline, a combined total of not less than 48 units
  • 1.5 years program with a Higher Degree of Research (HDR) from a business related discipline, a combined total of not less than 36 units*
  • 1.5 years program with a Higher Degree of Research (HDR) from a technology related discipline, a combined total of not less than 36 units*
    *Only students with a Bachelor degree in related degree approved by the School are eligible for this program option

To qualify for the degree of Master of Technology Innovation and Leadership as a Conversion program, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 48 units, comprising:

  • Core Courses to the value of 12 units.
  • Entrepreneurship/Business Closed Electives to the value of 12 units.
  • Technology Closed Electives to the value of 12 units.
  • Research courses to the value of 9 units. If studying a PhD pathway, research courses to the value of 12 units.
  • Elective to the value of 3 units. This is not required if studying a PhD pathway.
To qualify for the degree of Master of Technology Innovation and Leadership as an Extension program, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 36 units, comprising:

  • Core Courses to the value of 12 units.
  • Entrepreneurship/Business Closed Electives to the value of 12 units if coming from a technology-related discipline.
  • Technology Closed Electives to the value of 12 units if coming from a business-related discipline.
  • Research courses to the value of 9 units. If studying a PhD pathway, research courses to the value of 12 units.
  • Elective to the value of 3 units. This is not required if studying a PhD pathway.
