  • Research Interests

    My research is focused atmospheric and astronomical studies using VHF radar observations of meteor trails, MF radar observations of the Mesosphere/Lower Thermosphere (MLT), mathematical modeling, ground-based optics, and satellite data.  Current and previous topics include:

    • meteor trail plasma diffusion
    • meteor radar echo formation
    • meteor shower sources and orbits
    • atmospheric entry and ablation processes
    • D-region ionospheric chemistry
    • dusty plasma evolution
    • radar calibration techniques
    • IR observations of airglow layers
    • GPS measurements total electron density
