  • Research Interests

My research interests primarily lie within areas of social and cognitive psychology, as well as behavioural psychology. My honors project involved research conducted in association with the Australian Institute of Sport and Australia's Olympic swimming team, looking at napping and training behaviours, with emphasis on the interaction between behavioural and cognitive patterns and physiological outcomes.

My PhD research is concerned with cognitive bias, forensic bias, and the law, with emphasis on juror decision making, and jurors' ability to recognize bias in order to make more accurate decisions in court. Whilst quite different from my honors project, investigating juror behaviour and decision making nonetheless incorporates areas of social, cognitive, and behavioural psychology, whilst also highlighting the underdeveloped area of research that is characterized by the overlapping of psychology and the law.

Ultimately I would like to complete my PhD and go on to be admitted into the clinical masters programme, as I would like to become a clinical psychologist.
