  • Biography/ Background

    Kirsten returns to the University of Adelaide as Alumni, having completed her Commerce degree with the University, majoring in Accounting and Marketing. Upon graduating, Kirsten went on to complete her Chartered Accountancy with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and worked across global accounting firms KPMG and Ernst and Young.  Kirsten brings with her extensive experience across small business tax and accounting compliance, the R&D tax incentive, business advisory, and corporate finance.   Kirsten joins us from Ernst and Young, where she most recently worked in Mergers and Acquisitions, assisting renowned South Australian businesses navigate their way through capital raisings, divestments, acquisitions and corporate restructures. 


    Kirsten has always been passionate about innovation and small business, having previously worked as a mentor for start-up companies with the Innovyz Start accelerator program.  Kirsten is excited to work with researchers at the University, to help bridge the gap between academia and business, and create exciting opportunities from within South Australia. 


    Kirsten will primarily focus on educating researchers in commercialisation, managing strategic investor relationships, negotiating licensing deals, and the establishment of spin out companies, primarily in the Health Sciences sector.
