  • Biography/ Background

    Dr Kirsty Whitman is a Scholarly Teaching Fellow and Lecturer in Australian Politics in the Depatment of Politics and International Relations. She teaches and researches in Australian politics, public policy, inequality, neoliberalism, gender, identity, and class. Her research intersts also include social inclusion, educational inequtiy in Australia, far right political movements and intersectionality theory. Kirsty completed her PhD here at the University of Adelaide and has taught in Sociology, Gender Studies and the Faculty of Arts core courses. Her current research focusses on the white working-claass masculinities, Australian politics and the the far right.
