  • Biography/ Background

    Sally co-ordinates and contributes to science projects, developing new survey protocols, and liaises with collaborating researchers using our plant and tissue specimens and soil samples. Sally organises permits and licenses required to undertake field work and move specimens and samples across the globe.

    Sally is an ecologist with a diverse range of practical skills and experiences, with a passion for monitoring populations. She initially joined the team to develop a fauna survey protocol for AusPlots as part of the National Environmental Research Program (NERP) 'Enhancing long-term surveillance monitoring across Australia' programme.

  • Community Engagement

    Sally is involved in the citizen science project Wild Orchid Watch, funded by the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. For more information visit www.wildorchidwatch.org.au

    Sally is also responsible for connecting volunteers with our group. Opportunities range from technical field assistant roles for our extended field surveys in remote locations, to assisting with maintaining our samples at the Waite campus.
