    Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

     

    Renewable energy including solar hybrid systems, and geothermal systems 

     

    Solar cars design/build and simulations

     

    Combustion/gasification including fire simulations, coal combustion/gasification, MILD combustion,

     

    Multiphase flows particularly particle-laden flows

    A PhD/MPil scholarship is available funded by ARC fire research center. www.fire.edu.au

    The main research objectives are to

    • Develop, validate and apply computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling of fires in an enclosure
    • Design and build an experimental enclosure, and obtain experimental data from the enclosure.

     

    The program can be 3.5 years (PhD) or 2 years (MPil). 

    To be eligible, you must be

     

    • An Australia citizen.
    • Be able to obtain the admission to the Doctoral/Mpil program.
