Biogen and the Australian eChallenge have collaborated to create a unique and intense innovation program which could potentially impact lives worldwide.
The Neurohack is a fast-paced program that poses a number of problems, pain points, and hindrances around improving the mental and physical outcomes of those suffering from neurological disorders.
It’s up to you to find the solutions. And you don’t have to have a science degree to participate. We need experts in marketing, finance, economics, engineering, computer science, law, arts, music and many others.
How it works?
First, participate in the Neurohack.
Then, take this kernel of an idea and grow it via the Australian eChallenge (Biogen).
The Australian eChallenge (Biogen) gives you the opportunity to really flesh out your idea, spend more time on development and market testing, and potentially realise your product or service. The stakes are higher, with even bigger prizes to be won.
Hosted by experts from both Biogen and Australian eChallenge, the Neurohack will combine the knowledge and expertise of world leaders in neurological disorder research, Biogen, with the international renowned experts in early stage entrepreneurship and innovation, the Australian eChallenge.
The program will incorporate workshops and formal mentoring sessions with knowledge-specific practitioners, to accelerate you through the process of creating, developing, assessing and executing your ideas.
Addressing one of the problems identified by Biogen, you will focus on:
- Rapid innovation
- Building a robust entrepreneurial team
- Prototyping and scoping your market
At the end of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to pitch your idea directly to a panel of industry judges. As well as the opportunity to create real-world impact, you could win cash and prizes for your idea.
Who are Biogen?
Biogen are pioneers in neuroscience, with the goal over the last 40 years to defeat devastating neurological diseases. Millions of people around the world are affected by multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Many people also suffer from less common diseases such as spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).
Biogen believes that no other disease area holds as much need or as much promise for medical breakthroughs as neuroscience. Biogen has some of the world’s best neurologists and neuroscientists. We engage with physicians and scientific leaders around the world with the aim to further medical research. Our focus on neuroscience, our deep scientific expertise and our courage to take risks make us leaders in the research and development of medicines to transform neuroscience to benefit society. Our technology and engineering capabilities create novel ways to seamlessly transition products from development to manufacturing with the intent of bringing our high-quality medicines to market faster.
We care deeply about making a difference. We work fearlessly. We do not give up even when challenged, pursuing innovation in all that we do. We are humbled by the opportunity to change lives.
