Get Gardening!

Share gardening skills, meet fellow green-thumbs and pick fresh produce to eat.

Mary in the garden

Funded in 2014 and 2015 through the Green Project Fund, our gardens are maintained by student and staff volunteers.

Hub Central Edible Garden

Located on the eastern patio of Hub Central, right outside the student kitchen, the garden features raised beds, a rain water tank, tool shed and solar panels.

Staff and students are encouraged to dig around, pick produce for their lunch and get involved in working bees and cooking classes throughout the year.

Waite Community Garden

Located behind Lirra Lirra Cafe, the Waite Community Garden aims to foster an appreciation of the benefits and challenges of growing fresh produce at home and in the local community. Users can learn about worm farming, waste minimisation, management of pests, disease and weeds, and how to work together to produce great results.
