Join the University of Adelaide's Environment Institute with special guests to discuss the problem of plastic pollution, solutions in research, policy and industry, and most importantly what individuals can do to help.

Stationary Reuse-athon Event

Reusing unwanted but perfectly functional stationary is great for your wallet and for the environment, so come and grab a new set of stationary kindly donated by the staff on campus - all free for students. Think binders, pens, tape, staplers, and much more.
Waite Social Club - Bee Edition
Friday 9 October, 4pm to 6pm, Waite Social Club
To celebrate the end of biodiversity month join us for bee-themed drinks, nibbles, and speakers. This event will also include a wildlife photography and art exhibition by the Biology Society. All staff and students are welcome to wind down the week.

As part of the Nature Festival, and in collaboration with the Biology Society of South Australia, we are hosting a free DIY bird box workshop. Learn how to construct bird boxes from recycled materials and how to donate your creations to local conservation efforts. Capacity is limited, so reserve your ticket.

Celebrate all things bike-related, beginning with a free breakfast for cyclists. There’s free bike maintenance, competitions, prizes and other treats throughout the week.
Racing Extinction film screening

This 2015 film provides an intimate look at the many ways humans are fishing, hunting, and poaching species around the world into oblivion. It also provides hope and affirmation to protect the natural world, by capturing many stories of success. Reserve your tickets.

DIY bathroom product workshop

Free bike maintenance

Plastic Free July

Join the global movement, refuse single-use plastics and share your ideas to the plastic problem. Join Ecoversity for a month-long campaign of competitions, on-campus events, information and advice.

Free bike maintenance

Treadly on Campus are providing free bike maintenance to staff and students during Orientation Week. It's first in, first served for up to 15 minutes. Parts and accessories not included.
Due to COVID-19, UoA Sustainability Week (Monday 20 March to Friday 3 April) has been postponed.
These events and others will be rescheduled later in 2020.

Toastie press sesh
A collaborative workshop between the Youth Food Movement and Ecoversity which aims to show students creative and easy ways to cook with a humble sandwich press. It will also be a chance to learn about the importance of local, fresh food and where to find it on a student budget.
