Australian Bioactive Compounds Centre

The Australian Bioactive Compounds Centre has recently been established between the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia.

Our aims are to:

1) apply ecological and Indigenous knowledge to improve the efficiency of identifying biologically active compounds from plants found in Australia, in particular from its unique arid environments; and

2) fast-track these into commercially useful products in areas including medicine and agriculture.
