September 2006 Forum
Coastal and Estuarine water management issues
This forum featured presentations from the Geography & Environmental Studies group and natural resource manager clients. Postgraduate Deborah Haynes presented interim results from her palaeo-limnological surveys along the Coorong. Project Manager Penny Everingham from the Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation talked about the need to obtain sufficient relevant science to support management decisions for the Upper South East and Coorong, and the difficulties of mixing science and politics in natural resource management.
